Rugby! Just the very word brings to mind images of images of men running, kicking, and tackling. Rugby players are used in commercials to advertise a wide variety of products, from sports drinks and deodorants to cameras and software. Rugby players are characterized by words like “tough”, “strong” and “determined”. And here in this area, you have an up and coming side to call your very own.
The Cortland-Homer Thundering Herd has been in existence since 2000 and we have grown and improved from Day 1. Just last season, our record was 3-3 and we were the third seeded team in the playoffs. This season we expect an even better record and want to bring the League trophy here. But in order to accomplish our goal, we need sponsors. Playing rugby costs money. We are all amateurs on our team, and have to pay for match referees, league dues, National dues, food and drink at our social (for both teams that played that day), and the list goes on and on. In order to keep progressing towards our goals, we need sponsors.
The Thundering Herd is a not-for-profit organization full of men of all walks of life. We have educators, engineers, contractors, students, and attorneys. We all live in the area, work in the area, and most importantly to you, our sponsors, spend money in the area. Our club has nearly 30 loyal members who will support our sponsors. And there are multiple levels of sponsorship. All "Rookie" sponsors will be listed on our web site. With increased levels of sponsorship, the perks to your business can range from free T-shirts for the business owner/manager to the companies logo being prominently displayed on our jerseys. Both financial and value-in-kind donations are gladly accepted.
